Is it me or what? Gen 4 question

So I recently added a gen 4 G19 to my collection. All my others are gen 3 except for the G22 which is RTF2.
The gen 4 grip feels to me like the worst of both worlds, not as aggressive as the RTF2 yet it seems to irritate me more than the RTF2. Not sure about you guys but I prefer the gen 3 grip better. Or if I want something that sticks like glue the RTF2 plays the part well.

Really seems like a personal preference thing. I liked my gen 4 texture but wanted more so I stippled the crap out if it. Very aggressive lol. I left the checkering on there. I felt that the gen 3 frames where to smooth personally. To each his own

Wow..that's a first for me. The gen 4 grip irritates you more than a RTF2?

I also prefer the gen 3 grip better. I'm not sure what it is about the gen 4, but I did not like it. Someone at a gun shop told me it was designed using input from the military. That makes sense since gloves are being worn and the gen 4 has a rough texture that allows a better grip with gloves.
It's not just you. The grip seems to be a sticking point for many.

Personally, I prefer the Gen 4.

Yep would work fantastic with gloves. Good point, if true.
