Illinois people are making a stand

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. • Pro-gun advocates rallied outside the Illinois state Capitol in Springfield today demanding the state pass a law allowing concealed carry. One Secretary of State police officer estimated the crowd at 2,000.
Illinois is currently the only state that doesn't allow its citizens to carry concealed handguns in public.
Concealed carry legislation passed a House committee this week and now moves to the House floor.

That is awesome punisher, I live in MD and we were mentioned by the federal judge as a non 2nd amendment conforming state. I sure hope md gets with it!
Hope they do something. Would love that my wife could defend herself when she is downtown and I'm not around. Cook/Chicago is the only thing holding this state back. Sad really.
The day Illinois passes conceal carry is the day I buy a new handgun. If it ever happens...
Are you saying you will never buy a new handgun (heh-heh-heh) <evil grin>
No!! What I am saying is it would be another excuse to buy a new gun
I know, jes messin' with ya. From what I have heard, it is not likely the current Il gov't is going to change their stand.

We can, however, always hope....
Yeah, maybe in a year or two you may get CCW. Then you'll have to fight just to be able to buy the gun. Then there'll be a whole bunch of issues on caliber size or type of ammo. Then severe taxes will be levied against the guns first, then the ammo.

Dude, wake up out there. You got to throw the bums out. All of them. The good and the bad. Even the good Chicago/Illinois politicians have picked up bad habits.

The good will make it back in. Get rid of them all and send a message with it.

It's government of the people, by the people and for the people, not just some private fraternity club for lawyers.

Like my favorite radio host Andrew Wilkow says, "Socialism is for the people not the socialist."
