If u had to?

If u had to trade your glock27, what other glock would you trade it for. I'm thinking a 23 or a 19. I like the compact 27 but recoil is crazy on that little guy. I want a .40 because I already have a 9mm sig but don't know if I should considering I already have a .45 g21.

If you have to trade it, get the 23. Have you tried the mag extensions to give you basically the same grip length as the 23?

Try an extension on the mag, helps tame it down before you get rid of it.

No I haven't. Was thinking about it but will it still feel the same as the 23 felt recoil and grip feel. I dont want a wobbly grip and all.
What is a real good mag extension for it. I've seen a couple but don't want to throw away money on it and not like it. I tend to do that a lot in this hobby. Lol.

I traded a 30 for my 21 because I wanted a .45 and I did NOT like the small size of the 30, that being said, I bought a 23 next and am VERY happy with the size, feel, and recoil of the 23. It is a great shooter.
My problem is I can never trade a Glock. I just keep adding ti the collection!
I have gotten rid of many glocks over the years and have regretted it ever time. I have since replaced many of them, but I have not gotten them all.
Can I use any G23 mag in my G27 gen 2.5 or can I only use older gen mags??? And also what is the best grip sleeve (a&g or add a grip). I was checking out Xgrips but I don't like the fact they are rubbery and only convert to a G22 mag.

BTW: the gen 2.5 is the subcompact with finger grooves but no checkering on them and the slide says 40s&w, not .40. Thanks for ur guys help.
I'd go with a 23 only because I have a 22C (one box of ammo = shooting two guns). I like my 27 but I'm going to be getting some Pearce +0 pinky extensions.
If you have a G21 then the logical choice would be a G30. That way you can use the full size mags in the sub-compact too.
The 40S&W has a crazy, snappy recoil that I really can't warm up to even in a full size gun like a PX4 Storm with the rotating barrel action that's suppose to help tame some of that snap. IMHO my G30 has less recoil impulse then the full size PX4 had. The G30 is a real pleasure to shoot and you know you're shooting something without it being unpleasant at all.
Personally, I like to try and have the same caliber handguns and even the same brand if I can. Call it an OCD thing, call it just being too cheap to want to stock a bunch of different calibers and mags or just call it logical.LOL. I'd get a G30 to match up with your G21 if it were me.
I have the G27 and I use the G23 mags in it with the A&G grip extensions. Great carry piece and with the mag grip extensions, it is very easy to shoot. In fact, the extensions with the G23 mags makes it have the exact grip length as a stock G23. When I carry CCW, I use the stock G27 mags with pierce grip extension. I love the shorter barrel and it is as accurate as I need it to be. So, buy the G23 if you want, but I would not! You get the same grip results with the G23 mag and grip extension, and it is so much cheaper than buying another gun..but..you can never have enough guns..LOL
Thanks for all input. I ended up getting 2 G23 13rnd mags and ext mag release from midway USA for 44 buck shipped. And bought the adda grip extenders for 25 bucks. I'll see how this goes.
Trade for the 23. I actually traded my 23 for a 27.

Good luck. I have shot the xgrip as well as the pinky extender and its like shooting a different gun that is for sure. It had much more control or less snap.

Sweet. Can't wait. Damn I hate how slow it always seems to get things in the mail. Feels like Xmas back when I was a kid every time I order something. And that is a lot. Lol.
I currently have a G23 and I love it. I would recommend it to anyone. However, of you are wanting to conceal carry, definitely not a good choice. I am in the market for a G27 because I was to start carrying again.
Well if I end up not liking this setup I'll let u know if I will sell my 27. If u don't mind used.

Yeah I totally understand that.. the UPS guy is like Santa Clause now a days! Sometimes I will run outside to meet him haha I don't promise the xgrip makes it a 23 mainly because I've never done a side by side but it makes a big enough difference that I choose not to shoot with them because I want to be efficient with how I carry. That being the 9rnd mag.. I think you will be like it much more for sure
