I’m talking about the non-malevolent do-gooders. Despite their best intentions it still ends up being a boondoggle that ends up hurting more than it would’ve had they let nature take its course.

Chinooks and Apaches kept me busy for 14 years. I've learned to go where the money is, so went back to commercial in 2016, then wuhan effed us. Bright side, mil. side of my present employer emailed and called last week. Flattered me when they said if I make a move, they want it to be in the same company. 37 years in this stuff, almost done I think. Worked some pretty neat projects early/mid 90's that came to fruition 20-25 years later.
Hey, selenium is good for you. Fights the wuhan flu!. People ask how I stay healthy. I tell them germs come to me to die. Barium, selenium, cobalt, carbide, no problem. The worst is the 1,1,1 trichloroethane. Turns grease to dust with just the vapors. Covid don't stand a chance

Brutally hot & humid here in Houston; even at night. Probably won’t even start cooling off until November. It does seem that Winter gets started later now than it did in the past.

If it looks like it will be even close to Hanna, we will be bugging out. As of tonight, we are officially off for 10 days, so a bug out is definitely on the table.

I’d say that is an understatement Mr. Dan, all hell is going to beak loose Monday and continue through Wednesday. Vehicles are fueled up. Got the generator and chainsaw serviced and operational with six cases of water standing by. Gladly this isn’t a Katrina or my ass would be north of Memphis! Katrina caught us by surprise, went to bed with her going into Florida woke up the next morning and it was coming up the a Mississippi River. By the time we realized our mistake, it was too late. Interesting experience I don’t care to repeat. We were on generator power for almost 3 weeks with gasoline in short supply. I now have a natural gas conversion unit that removes gasoline from the equation. Stay safe...

Marco threat has lessened for Houston, but Houston is firmly in the cone for Laura. I sure hope this isn’t Harvey part 2
