Hey what's up y'all, I'm new to this can some one help me?
Almost took my name there lol
You gotta let us know what you need help with! Welcome to Glock Forum!
Sorry IGlock, it is a pretty sweet name tho, @keenans I'm looking to buy my first gun in about a month or so, and I'm getting my class A on wed, so I guess my question is how will I no what gun is good for me? This is something I really want to get into! And thank you both for taking time to write back! Thanks
No problem...also for ur gun question, best advice i can give is go to a local gun store and check them all out, hold them and get a feel for them and if you can shoot them.
I went to the shooting range and I fell in love with the G17c! What do u think is the best Glock?
Glock 17C is a great one, but it all depends on what your intended use. I look at guns as tools. Each one has a different purpose. Competition, go with a 34 or 35. Concealed Carry, a 26, 27, 29,30,33, and 36 would all be ok, just depending on the caliber. 9mm is going to be your cheapest and .45 probably your most expensive. .357 Sig and .45 GAP are probably a bit harder to find.
Just getting into shooting, start with a 17 or 19. Those are easy to learn with.
How's that for an answer! Remember...those are all just MY opinions.
Your the man! Thanks and yes that's what I need someone to give me there opinion on things like that. To be honest I want the gun for all those reason you gave, I want to learn about all of them, are the G30s a smaller gun? Is that why you said to carry?
Hi ig17c. I am in the same boat. Shot for the first time 2 weeks ago, IL has brutal laws just to shoot a rented gun. I have a cousin who is considered an expert in Guns in IL and he told me to get the Glock 17 or 19 as well.
Most will tell you to get what is most comfortable for you to shoot. I have to say I love the Smith & Wesson M&P but am sure I will buy the 17 and go from there. enjoy this as much as I have. It is a great new hobby and embrace meant of the 2nd Amendment.
Welcome to Glock forum.
iGlock you should bring back your avatar with the girl holding a Walther.
See if this helps, http://us.glock.com/products/all. Just click on any model you have questions on and you can find out more information.
A "C" model is compensated.
a "SF" model means short frame, slightly smaller grip.
A "L" model means long, as in longer slide
Yea man tell me about it!, I'm from MA and you cant even take a piss with out a permit here **** sucks. I just want to say your guys are all awesome, my own friends ant even as supportive as you guys have been to me. It's pretty cool to be apart of somthing where ppl want to help you. And to answer the last comment, yea I like the G17c. I'm not a big fan of the short grip or the longer slide
I have 19 and a 26. Both are great. Gonna order a 34 for competition. I shoot both at the range and carry the 26. Personal preference and practicality. I can't decide if I'm obsessed or just turning into a collector.
Man I can't wait to get my first Glock so I can be able to conversate with you guys and feel what you guys feel!
I think its both
