I just bought a 1 year old Glock 22 from my boss for a good price. I never really planned to own a Glock as I have a Hi Point C9 that serves me well, but the price was good and the name says a lot so I got it. There are a few changes I want to make to the Glock such as slip on grip, better adjustable sights, swap the .40 barrel for a Lone Wolf 40-9mm barrel (I have a LOT of 9mm ammo) and a few other things here and there.
At the time of this post, I'm waiting to receive the 22 because the boss's replacement gun has not gotten into his hands yet, and he's paranoid to e without one. *facepalm*

Anyway, a little about me: I'm 33, have an small but odd collection of firearms, I race rc cars, co-own a paintball team...

Welcome to the Glock Forum! Once you get your Glock, You'll sell the Hi Point in a heartbeat! Stick around, you will like it here!
Not only do I not plan to sell my Hi Point, but I will continue to carry it as my choice for CCW. The Glock will be kept at home. Thanks for the otherwise warm welcome.

Finally took it home today. It's a gen 3 model 22. got it, 2 mags, the case and paperwork, a holster and 200 rounds of winchester ammo. not a bad deal.
Hey D. F.,

Are you one of the new guys that got their Wisconsin CCL?
Now if Ill. would follow.
Hi mikecu Yes, I have my CCW permit, got it the day before new years eve. I agree, Ill. needs to get on board and cave to the peer pressure of us other 49 states ;).

I just ordered a slip on grip and a grip plug for my g22. (didn't like the gaping hole behind the mag well.)

The other day I told a friend I got a Glock 22.

His reply was "huh, I didn't know glock made a .22..."

*facepalm*

After a minute of silence while I shook my head, I cleared up that "22" was the model number, not the caliber.
