I wanted to start a thread to introduce myself. I just purchased my first handgun- a Gen III G23 about 2 weeks ago. I chose the weapon after consulting several friends who have more experience than I do, and I fired several guns over a range weekend last summer. My friends in law enforcement spoke highly of the weapons performance and reliability.
I intend for the weapon to be used for home defense, and as a CCW once I have attended the permit course, and applied.
Having shot a 19, 21, and 23 I went with the 23 as it felt most comfortable, and easily concealed on my frame but my tendency to collect already has me thinking about a 21 for an OCW out at our ranch.
