i live in TN. and the man told me to pring 50 rounds of ammo my self and my gun. the class is 5 hours long and its a group class the man sounds very nice on the phone but also serious at the same time

I understand the classroom time, but

do you know the course of fire...at what range you must qualify

...passing score to get the permit ?
no he never said but i dad took the same class and hes going to inform me on it when he gets home and then ill fill yall in

well i talked to my dad and he said that
you will start off in a class room for 2 hours or so
then he will take you out and explan the rules of the range
then he showes you what to do
you shoot at a target from 5 yard then 10 then 15 and maybe 20 and hes looking for a good group
then he showes you how to shoot at point plank range

I'm from TN as well. And took my Handgun Carry Permit class Mar.31. Fill out the application at the DMV, paid my $115 and was fingerprinted. Now goning though the waiting process. Can't wait to get my HCP in the mail. :D

i just dont see how thats safe at all !!!!!!!!!!
training should be required in all states in my opinion
The Second Amendment would seem to state otherwise.
