I had that happen quite a few times with various battery powered electronics/toys. Once in a while they were salvageable, often times not.
Isn't funny how little seemingly insignificant things that happen in the past, often trigger fond memories :)
Remember, on one vacation to Florida, when our full Sized Chevy van (350 V8) was running on fumes, how my dad purposefully past by an exit with a gas station - because HE was not going to pay 45 cents/a gallon for gas. Ah, gas station memories :)

Apparently "Adam's apple" is now considered bad (Adam "sexist" or something). That's close![/QUOTE]

A school in Seattle renamed its Easter eggs ‘spring spheres’ to avoid causing offence to people who did not celebrate Easter...Will it ever end?

One must learn to NEVER give into the left, at least because it's never enough. The concession will not win you favour - at least not long standing favour. If you don't march in lockstep with them on EVERY issue, you are publically whipped again. If you give them something, they'll just keep moving the carrot further to the left. Those to the right of the left - which include "moderates" or "centrists", need to take a stand and tell the left "no further!". I would argue that after that point, then we need to take back occupied ground.

I'm suprized the Seattle school also didn't point out that even the word "eggs" might be offensive to feminists(?).

THIS is why I’ve changed my stance on gun control.
I used to be open to compromise and legislation that seemed to be livable.
The Libs/Leftists/Dems ruined it. Whenever they’ve passed gun control it’s always, “now we need to focus on (optional firearm or related accessory)”.
Never ever have I heard, “Thank you, we are done with gun control.”
Even when they passed their Federal Assault Weapons Ban, they seamlessly went after types of ammo, tax schemes, lawsuits against manufacturers and on and on.

I remember LP albums that we got at some gas station (I think Shell or Gulf, but not positive) in the 60's & 70's. Had several of them, some with Christmas songs and with some Disney songs.

Never mind the sociopolitical cowardice there; as someone who passed the 4th grade and knows what a sphere is, I'm greatly offended by that level of ignorance.

It's pointless to give in to tyrants of any flavor; left or right either one. The leaders who tried to appease Hitler ended up as completely betrayed as the ones who tried to appease Stalin.

I'd agree that we shouldn't give into tyrants of any flavor, although Hitler/the Nazi's (Nationalists Socialist German Workers Party) were both left wing. Alot of people, especially the mainstream media, Hollywood, and "academia" try to push it off as "right wing". I have to roll my eyes everytime they label President Trump, the "re-open the businesses protesters", or even Ben Shapiro (an Orthodox Jew for cying out loud), Nazi's.

Back when Disney was wholesome, moral, and family oriented. Those were the days! Walt would be ashamed and embarrassed at what his company has become now.

D7403B37-9B8F-4A1C-B66F-690C06A37A9D.jpeg Schmidt said in his statement that the policy change was intended to make society more equable.

"If we leverage the full force of the criminal justice system on individuals who are peacefully protesting and demanding to be heard, we will cause irreparable harm to them individually and to our society," he said.

"The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office will presumptively decline to prosecute a case where the most serious offense is a city ordinance violation or where the crime(s) do not involve deliberate property damage, theft or the use or threat of force against another person," Schmidt explained.

The statement included a list of offenses from protesters that the office would decline to prosecute. The offenses that will be ignored included the following, according to KGW-TV:

Interfering with a peace officer or parole and probation officer

Disorderly conduct in the second degree

Criminal trespass in the first and second degree

    Escape in the third degree

    Harassment

Riot (unless accompanied by a charge outside of this list)

"As prosecutors, we acknowledge the depth of emotion that motivates these demonstrations and support those who are civically engaged through peaceful protesting. We will undermine public safety, not promote it, if we do not take action to bring about immediate change," Schmidt added.

    'I am disgusted'

    On Friday, Portland Police Association President Daryl Turner sent a scathing letter demanding that Schmidt focus his efforts on stopping crime instead of criticizing the police;

You ran on a platform of police accountability, which was a thinly veiled threat to indict police officers. What about indicting rioters who loot, burn, destroy, and assault? What about your ethical and moral duties to uphold the law and keep all our citizens safe? The people committing arson and assault are not peaceful protestors; they are criminals. Step up and do your job; hold the rioters accountable. If there is no consequence for crimes from the District Attorney's office, there is no reason for criminals to stop the chaos.

"I am disgusted that our City has come to this," he added.

Others, like the Oregon Justice Resource Center, praised Schmidt for the change in policy.

"Effectively prosecuting people for exercising their right to express their views does not serve the people of Multnomah County," the Resource Center tweeted.

20200812_081151.jpg Dereliction of duty! Nothing less, he should resign. If only one could "impeach" him?
Of course the left is preparing for more of this feces (see above).

A giant ROLLEYES. Typical leftist bird cage liner. I don't shop there, but have they heard of a small chain store called "Walmart"?
They need to focus on true racist folks, who said very publicly "Poor kids are just as bright as white kids". Hint: one of his nicknames is "Crazy Uncle Joe".

Just when I think I've heard the most moronic thing ever, the bar gets lowered even more.
By this line of reasoning, it's those racist Italians that have kept me from being able to buy the Ferrari that I've always wanted...LOL

We may not be far from that. A certain local water utility is not turning water off no matter if a customer pays their water bill or not - apparently because treated/ delivered water is a "human right". ?

THAT IS AWE INSPIRING! You would think the sports teams - at least professional teams (that pay their players) - would know their fan base.
It might work for mainstream media, who get so much financial support from leftist billionaires (Sorros et al), but I think in time that professional sports owners and said leagues will ultimately find out that they are dropping a 1rst gen P320 on their foot.
