Welcome to the Glock Forum odgreen! Stick around you will like it here! Did you hear about the new FDE Glocks?
Hey welcome!!! what part of Alaska are you from? I was Stationed in Fairbanks, but I went to Denali, Anchorage, and Sewert.
Welcome aboard. That dividend is going to come in handy Fairbanks area or Anchorage? Cushman range still around?
C 4/14 CAV. 11C attached to the CAV. I was there 04-07. It was still there when I was there. Nice to meet you.
Good deal man, yeah after I left they switched from light infantry to Stryker. I have no idea what's all up there now. I used to shoot at Cushman all the time. It's a different way of life up there, that's for sure. You could walk through Fred Myer in your pajamas and combat boots and no one would bat an eye lol
That Fred Meyer is still better than Walmart! I will post photos tomorrow, dear Glockers. Signing out from Fairbanks and a balmy 10 degrees.
Yeah not anymore. Since they changed it to Strykers they are strict about everything and if someone caught you in pajamas and combat boots during work hours they'd feed you to the nearest moose. They did get a new walmart there, but Fred Myer was the best. I kinda miss the frozen tundra...
You have us all reminiscing now I remember being out in the YTA one time at -70 Kept thinking to myself that I should have become a tanker lol Me too, especially the month of September , the $10 Brown Bear tags, always having meat in the freezer...and if you didn't, your neighbors would stock you up.
Oh and by the way to all you nostalgic sorts... We are just at the cusp of breakup. It will get to a whopping 50 degrees today and the mud will follow! Gonna go over to the Sportsman's Lodge later and get some rounds.
Coldest it was for me was -50. +50 degrees is nice. I really like the summers though the neverending light does mess me up a bit. I really like the Sportsman's lodge, that is a fun place. I loved going there too. I got my G30 there!!!! memories...
Ahhhhhhhhhh. A woman after my own spare clip! Nice to meet you O... Welcome to the forum! You'll fit right in 'round here! Looking forward to knowin' you.
