As I say to anyone who has this question: whichever is in stock lol. I chose a gen 3 because I wanted a Glock, and there were no gen 4s in stock. The difference will be the recoil spring assembly, grip texture, backstraps, and smooth trigger (some gen 3s had a serrated trigger). If you're still iffy about it, go rent one of each and try them out.
