So I am on the hunt for a threaded barrel for my G17 (Prefer Glock Factory If anyone has one lemme know.....) Anyways I have always like the threaded barrel look so figured we could get some pictures rolling on these.

This is NOT my gun, but thought this looked really sweet, so going to post it as the thread starter (see what I did there? Thread? aww yeah!)

Hey vanniek71

I just saw that you mentioned that you have a blind Lone Wolf in the "what did you do" thread....and that you were waiting on some guy so you could get a Factory Glock threaded barrel.

Anyway...use this search term in Google:

"Glock 17 9mm M13.5x1 Left Hand Threaded Barrel"

They are out there to be had for not much more than what Lone Wolf charges.

Well to be fair that used barrel had a thread protector, but still Id rather pay the same price in the end for a new barrel + thread protector

Stupid noob question time!

What's the threaded barrel for?
They are for two things, the first being compensators which help with muzzle rise and are popular for competitions. The second is for attaching a suppressor/silencer/can or which ever term you prefer for an item that reduces the muzzle noise to a substansial amount and in some cases one can discharge their firearm with out ear protection and have no adverse effects.
