I was offered an Egyptian Maddi Ak47. It comes with 12 mags, bayonet and scope. All for $500.

What are your opinion on the Egyptian AK47? Are they quality made?

Don't know about your particular Maddi, but I seen examples

that were excellent on the range. Make sure the front sight is

on straight ( not canted ) and field strip to check for worn parts.

You also should look down the barrel and make sure it is not corroded.

They have stamped receivers and are as close to a Russian AKM

as you can get. They are made in Cairo on actual Russian equipment.

The correct finish should be black enamel with reddish laminated

furniture & either a black or red plastic grip.

Maadi AKs vary greatly, the cheapest are the MISR 90 or 10 they are Interarms or CAI import. Even those would be a reasonable deal with the included gear.

On the opposite extreme if it's a steyr import that's a great deal and you should buy it today!

I had looked at it and I do believe that it was a Pars international Corp import. The gun was in good condition. Few scratches in the metal but looked like an excellent weapon.
He said the gun wasn't going anywhere. So I'm trying to get as much info on it as I can. He found a 28 gauge Remington 870 that he needs. So over breakfast he made me the deal.
