I've decided my first Glock should be the 23, it's been purchased, just waiting on the few days wait for the background check...

....meanwhile, I've already went and ordered the larger mag release and extended slide release. It will come with night sights, but I'm sure that will be changed soon.

Anyone have any suggestions on new trigger systems? I was looking at the EDGE Trigger. Anything else I could look at?

I hope this is the right section on the forum to post in, my next questions will be about GSSF and competition shoots.... Directions?

Thanks ahead.

Welcome, the next thing to do is waste a lot of money on ammo! If you are shooting GSSF, I'm pretty sure most or all will be stock categories so don't add a trigger system haha. Also if it will be used for concealed carry, having a competition trigger is not the best idea either.

Yeah I recommend you become proficient with the weapon and concentrate on the fundamentals before you go replacing/modifying the internals.
I've had a few years practice with the 23 that my dad let me use as a teen, about 10 years ago I had an itch for a 1911 and purchased 2. I've been using them at local shoots for years, I wanted to go back to Glock and did. Just wanted to know what manufacturers were best for aftermarket internals when I'm ready to upgrade.

I thought the same thing about concealed carry, I'm trying to convince my wife to let me buy 2 more Glocks asap (crossing fingers), I may keep this one for carry and get a 22 and a 17.

If u like .40 SW. Look at the Glock27. I just got one n it's a fun gun. And tiny. Great for conceal. But I in chi so I can't carry. Yet......
Great idea, I used to live in Chi, Montrose and Central. I like the 23 for conceal, I'm a big dude so it seems small. That 27 just seems like it wouldn't be a firm grip for me.

Congrats on the 23. I recently purchased one myself. Still waiting on the background check though. Good luck with the shooting comps. I'd like more info on how to get into it too. I'm afraid that I don't have the time needed to spend practicing as my job requires me to be out of time for long periods of time.

I'm a big dude too. 6ft, 250lbs. And I thought the same till I shot one. With that talon tape it feels perfectly fine to me. Still like the 21 more but I wouldn't hesitate to use the 27. It is snappy though. Check out talon grips. They r great. And I figured I'd mention, I put the hogue on my 21 and it makes the grip a lot fatter and it feels great also. Feels like u get a great solid grip.

I am a big dude three at 6'5 1/2 230 and carry a 23 and 27 for warm weather and a 20 for cold weather. For my 2xl hands I use GAP finger rests on my 27

Ain't it for such a small gun. Don't it feel pretty nice in your hand. I would've never thought until I finally held n shot one. Even without the xtra pinky grip, it feels fine as long as you place your pinky in between your ring and pinky on ur off hand.

I really want a single stack 9mm pocket gun by Glock. I'm shocked they have yet to release one and I don't know who their market research people are at Glock, but they should be fired. Glock should be leading the way on this stuff instead of sitting back letting other companies pass them by.
