I am looking to buy a Glock 19, so I stopped by Bass Pro Shop, asked sales person of he had a Glock 19; said he did not, they were hard to get AND that Glock could not import any guns into US "until some laws were changed!"
Now I know Glock is made in Austria, but the US distributor is in Smyrna GA, and I'm in NW FLA!!
I have been doing a LOT of research on Glock & this is 1st I've heard of this. Has anyone else heard that Glock can't import firearms? I just don't believe that's true!!

They import parts from Austria and assemble them in Smyrna, that's nothing new, the guy at Bass Pro is just another ignorant employee

I called a gun shop last week looking for a Sig (I know, not a Glock) and the guy told me "there is a national shortage on pistols right now." The US is in a buying frenzy. Another shop I talked to said her distributors are backlogged and can't keep up.
