I've always wanted to get a 1911. But I absolutely adore my Glock. I think it's just one of those things. Some people just are die hard 1911 fans and will swear by nothing else which is king of sad. They are missing a lot of fun.

I don't know if they still make them, but Springfield Armory made a 1911 in .40 for CC in the Officer's size, and they are nice. My friend's stepdad has one. You hardly even feel the recoil because of the weight of the gun.
