I ordered a new gen4 G19 and was told that all distributers were trying to catch up from Christmas & there were none available & I have to wait a week or two. I then called Bass Pro, Gander Mt, and Greentop and they all said the same thing. Anyone else experience this ?

I visited one of the only two GSSF participating dealers in south florida on Monday & they told me whatever they don't have in stock, they could get it in 2 days for me. I was mainly inquiring about the 17 & 19 so YMMV...

I know orders were way behind at the factory until a couple months ago. We just got in a batch of custom Glocks we ordered direct from Smyrna back in spring of last year.

It comes and goes, they will catch up again.

Per the Glock rep I talked to last month, Glock Inc is ALWAYS around 120,000 guns behind. But, one of the local LEO dealers in my area has such an overstock right now that they are trading their brand new Glocks for old personally owned Glocks plus $100. They are out there, I wouldn't let myself get in a panic about it.

I went into my LGS today to get a price on a G38 which I already know they don't stock. The owners son said we can get it for then he said let me check, he got on computer and said they we're out of stock. He then gave me a price of $550 and said that they we're out do to the shot show and could probably get them around April.

That sucks but I did see them on gun broker and auction arms website but wanted to get local especially when I get my GSSF coupon.

No problems here in kansas. Just had my pick on new glock 17s and 19s for about $450. And a ton of used glocks for about $400 with tax. Availability issues must be regional

Well there was alot of New and used Glocks at the gunshow last weekend but i just don't know what there ability is to get restocked here in Oregon.
I just know i'm in the market to get a G38 and there wasn't any at the gunshow. So i thought i would check with my LGS that i bought my last 3 guns from in the past 2 years, even though 2 years ago he talked me out of the 45 GAP and got me into a 40 cal. instead. He didn't stock any of those then and he still doesn't but as i said they looked it up and it wasn't available (the G38 that is) from where ever they get glocks from. I also know they don't have any on Gallery of Guns.

Glocks in my area go for around $500 and up.

I'm sure prices would be higher at most gun stores. But I have friends that are ffl dealers. That and nextech free classifieds. I have bought a lot of cool guns and ammo there all local. Kinda like craigslist. Sold guns, cars, etc. everyone is armed around here so lots of choices in firearms.

G38 is a compact .45gap, same frame size as a g19,23,32.

I have friends with Sigs i've shot them and would rather have a Glock and they are the other way. oh well, to each there own. right?

Yes I have a montero red pontiac 66 gto. I put some pics on sometime. The sig is a p226 9mm. I bought from a buddy for $300. That has been my hand gun for the last six years and I like it. But the only reason I bought a glock is because all the stuff you read and the popularity of them. That and I learned how to heat stipple polymers so I'm taking a soldering iron to the g17 I bought. Haven't shot it yet. Might like it more than the sig. Not a brand loyal type, like a little of everything. Not to piss any glock nutz off, jyay thought it was kinda funny
