Thanks. It is compact, light, upper/lower fit well. It looks well built.
I shot 220 rounds through it (using borrowed sights) with no issues.
100 of WWB 115gr.
50 of Blazer 147gr.
50 of Speer Lawman 147gr.
20 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 124+p
I started with the factory 5.4oz buffer with the standard spring, and ended up with the 7.7oz Spikes Tactical Extended buffer also with the standard spring.
The 7.7oz buffer made the gun smoother.
Not a single failure.
For anyone who has a Sub 2000, you'll want to get this upgrade/part, just came out yesterday. Usually $17, but if you order by today (7/31/20) it's only $7. Hope the "url" came through?
Welp, that didn't work(?). I'll have to consult my teenager. The new Keltec Sub2k part is an charging handle integral locking pin. No more having to fool with grease to have it stick to the recoil spring when cleaning/assembling. Now it can be "part" of the recoil spring assembly.
Another 150 rounds today with no issues.
Looks good. Any idea what you'll do for sights on it?
Thanks. Yes, I ordered the Daniel Defense fixed sights.
I was thinking Troy or Magpul flip up sights, but at the end decided to go with the DD fixed sights.
So far I am not planning to put an optic on it. Fixed sights would work well on a truck/shtf gun.
I realize that a couple/few people brought up CAA Roni's earlier in the thread, does anyone have the Gen 2 (in Glock 9mm)? What do you think of it?
Since my relatively new P365 is presently my EDC, I've "an extra" G19 Gen5 I need to do something with I've a RMR, a currently unused set of AR back up sights, a sling, and an extra sling swivel just sitting around - might be nice to have them all in one place: on a Roni?
Here’s mine love it.
Some Roni's have jamming problems. Niece's hubby was a small town part time cop in Oklahoma. They had Roni's to convert their G23's.
I thought the Roni just used the entire glock pistol; just sticking the pistol in the brace & using the Roni charging handle on the slide cuts. Does it change some parts or function on the glock?
I think it had a longer barrel.
Maybe there is different styles(?) I lost my interest in them a long time ago.
I remember lots of jams in this video. Sean Ryan lives close by in Williamson County.
Yes, I watched that. Is it, in essence, a "break in" problem? Not that one should necessarily have to, but after so many rounds, does it smooth out?
I wasn't aware that some police departments use Roni's? Is that a fact?
I worked for a small town PD. Sometimes salesmen or a local would introduce a new whizbang product to the administration, officers or whole department. Could be vehicle, technology, uniform, firearm related. Depending on how impressed the cops were, they could maybe wrangle the city to buy it for the department or individual officers might part with their money for the latest and greatest doodad.
My step sisters are married to cops. Actually one is the retired chief of a town in Okieville. I showed him my Sub2000 and he told me a nearby department used them as a duty weapon back up.
Konawah used the Roni.
