I carried a 30SF for years until I switched from .45 to 9mm. Now I carry a 19, it's a bit thinner. I'm going to be switching it out to 10mm as a bear gun now so I will still be concealing outdoors when Flyfishing.
Yep been buy 2 or 3 boxes a pay check. Dropping $20 almost every time. I do miss it though but when I do I go shooting and enjoy shooting.
I have stage 4 (almost 5) kidney disease. So I tire and am weaker than I once was. Also, have serious arthritis in my spine. Yet, with all this, I still carry a G30 and do every day.
https://gunfightersinc.com/kenai-chest-holster/ I highly recommend this with the glock 20 for Fly fishing.
Another option for carrying in the woods. I use this for my G20 for hiking/back packing. Plenty of room for the G20 and 3-4 extra mags. https://hillpeoplegear.com/Products/CategoryID/1/ProductID/5
Fwiw, another field-type holster that wouldn’t work for backpacking purposes but I still like for certain applications, is the Safepacker holster from thewilderness.com It's a flap holster that rides on the belt, but doesn’t look like most holsters. I used it when even LE couldn’t carry concealed off duty in Missouri. The law allowed open carry but not concealed; but since I’m not at all a fan of open carry, I tried the safepacker and used it as my ‘open carry’ holster for a glock 19 & spare mag when our kids were little. Functionally, it really is a full-flap holster, so (in my non-lawyer mind at least), qualified as "open carry" just as any other on-the-belt full-flap holster would. I did keep a badge pinned to the inside of the flap, so if opened, the badge was the first thing visible.
galco Miami classic for shoulder rigs galco is the way to go all the nylon crap is a waste of money and the other makers leather is not even close ive wasted my money on few others good luck
I agree the Galco or Gould & Goodrich rig for the money. You want the best rig I’ve ever worn the price jumps to $400+ for a Mitch Rosen.
