I emailed Glock about a possible G25 purchase and got the following info today.

"This pistol and the G25 is only available to Law Enforcement Agencies, paid with public monies. It is not available to individual officers.

I am including the law for your information..

.380 ACP

The .380 ACP models are primarily intended for markets which prohibit civilian ownership of firearms chambered in military calibers such as 9x19mm Parabellum. They are not offered in the United States, due to the characteristics of the gun making it unable to pass import restrictions.[55]

I knew this but wonder why they can't offer it now since the gun is manufactured in Smyrna? I'm sure it has something to do with importation of guns from Austria years ago? I was told that you purchase one as stated, but they had never sold one to a LE agency in the US. ?? I would be down for one these like a $2 tire.
I don't see the appeal to a .380 Glock because it's a smler round with no additional capacity.
My mother is 5 foot nothing and weighs 125 pounds soaking wet. My daughter is 5 foot 9 and weighs 145 pounds. If I could a gun in their hands that holds 10 or 15 rounds that shoots like a normal gun, you bet your rear I would. Not everyone can handle a 9mm or 40 cal, and considering the defensive loads available for these guns, I would by one in a New York minute for my mother and daughter. I realize you can get a LCP type gun chambered in these rounds, but they shoot like a cheap toy and don't have the capacity of a Glock.
Well, I guess in that situation it could be beneficial.^^^

+1... It's a perfect caliber glock for women, kids, new inexperienced shooters, older folks with arthritis or the every day shooter like us. At least that's my opinion

I agree with this. My wife and mother would much rather shoot a .380 over 9x19. Also a great first Glock for my girls when they get old enough

I'll take that. :D
I was told by a CWP instructor that a 9mm gun can shoot a .380 bullet? If that is correct could you just load up a G26 with .380 ammo?
Glockinator...... You just dodged two bullets at once, impressive :p

No, you cannot. Does any make a conversion barrel though? Or what about ordering a 28 barrel for a 26?
seems stupid to not sell it here, I mean really, hiding behind the law.......what just about every other gun maker outside the us imports....a 380......they cant, just stupid
Ok, you are forgiven lol! :)

I find it interesting they automatically assume woman have to have certain calibers that "they" think should have them. How about woman shout whatever they feel comfortable shooting? If that's a g20 or a g35 or a g18 I don't care I just want them to carry and be comfortable.

Yeah.. I am pretty sure we all do. But you know as well as I do that not every women can handle all the calibers like 45acp, or 40 or 10mm.. But some can like the ladies above. It's just how it is, it isn't only geared towards women either..
