I was looking for a Glock 21 and my two closest dealers ony had the Gen 3 which is too big for my small paws. I'm wondering if the Gen 4 21 has a smaller grip.

    Thanks for any advice.

Yes, the small backstrap on the G21 Gen 4 makes the grip size the same as a G21SF Gen3.

My hands are very average size and I love the fit of my Gen4 G21!

I have gen 3 and gen 3 SF 21's. They're both big. The SF feels different but if you have small hands it may still be to large.
Personally I think the perceived recoil impulse is milder than the .40's.

  6. That's been my observation as well. Even with 180gr sub-sonic loads the 40S&W feels like it generates more recoil impulse(muzzle flip mostly) then a 230gr 45acp load. This is one of the major reasons why I find I have no use for the 40S&W. Give me a 45acp or a 9x19mm any day of the week.

If you think the grip on the 21 is too large, try a G37. It's a .45 GAP with the same size frame as a G17 or G22.
