Glock 19 MOS Feedback

1944 Views 15 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  L-2
I'm thinking about picking up a Glock 19 MOS (factory cut). Also has a Vortex venom red dot.

Anyone have feedback after having this setup? Good, bad, etc.

Thanks

I have that with a vortex, can't remember if I have a viper or venom on it. I would look but it is in the safe right now. I am happy with it, last time at the range had a 5 shot group at 10 yards really surprised myself.
Thanks Buck.

Since it's in the safe I may already have my answer, but would you consider it "carryable" with the optic mounted?
I have not thought much about carry with it due to I have a 43 that I usually carry. I do have a few holsters that it will not fit with the red dot which is a viper, I opened the safe to look. You probably have to shop around or ask on here about a holster. If I had to do over I would get the venom due to not having to take the rear site of my glock to unlock lock the adjustment screws. Venom you don't have to.
Thank you sir. I appreciate the feedback.
I have the G19 with an RMR. I had a Vortex on my 34 but I didn't care for the Venom that much. It was not like it would turn on automatically when I picked it up. It would turn off automatically after 15 hours and the battery life is shorter than an RMR.

Both MOS GLOCKS have an RMR, Dual Illumination.

I use a G-Code Holster. Works great with the optic cut out.

I have suppressor height Tritium Trijicon sights for back up. The system works extremely well. I don't use the RMR at less than 15 yards.

With a reflex sight, precision, repeatability and faster target acquisition are the results.

I'm much more consistent with an RMR over a Vortex. YMMV

Other changes I made, include the extended Slide release, Overwatch Precision Trigger and bar, and Ghost triggers Ultimate 3.5.

That's a nice rig. Good points on the Venom.
I just ordered a 19 Mos today, will post a pic when I get it. I already have a trijicon rmr and suppressor sights.
Here is my 34mos with a trijicon rmr. I will post a pic when my 19 gets in

Red Dots are the thing. Here are three of mine with Red dots. RMR and Vortex work for me. Old age bad eyes the red dot make it work for me.

My current carry Glock has been stippled, milled and modified internally so I found another 19 MOS which is pretty much factory. I also have a factory 34 MOS. I'd like the opportunity to shoot stock.

My 17, 30, and first 19 have been modified.

I have a gen 5 g19 mos. I can not adjust it high enough. Guess I need a shim?
Post_15,
I suspect your Vortex, if that's what you have as your post didn't actually say you have a Vortex, may need service or replacement. The link I posted should provide Vortex' phone number to start the process or get any specific advice.
