So I have thousands of rounds through my Gen4 19,27 and G43. I have 800 rounds through my new G34 Gen5 and it already has more wear rings on the barrel than all the others. Anyone else notice this? This is the 34...

My Gen5 G19 looks just like that. I asked a Glock rep that was at a local gun store for a Glock event about this. I was told it is normal.

It’s crazy. Like I said my others have way more rounds and almost no wear at all. It’s like the finish wears right off

I haven't fired a round and mine has it from screwing around in my house?

Looks like more wear then my 19 gen.3 Circa 2000, with thousands of rounds through it.

Right! That’s what I’m saying. My dads G19 Gen5 is just like my 34 too. Yet all my Gen4s and both of our 43s have no rings on the barrels at all.

Gen 5’s are a tighter fit which amounts to tighter groups but causes more wear patterns. My 17.5 has 10,000 rounds and looks bad ass.

    Good explanation. Thank you!

And yes, I too have a Gen 5 with more apparent barrel wear than much older ones.

Excellent explanation! Is the Gen.5 Barrel more supported then other generations?

The Gen 5 has a tighter chamber then the Gen 3/4. Only by the slightest amount, but there truly is less case wiggle when the same round is placed in each chamber.

One small point: that's not wear but experience scars.
