Far as I know, the gen 3 spring can be used on a gen 4 gun but not vice versa due to the size of the hole for the spring

This is how I know it as well. The gen4 is a dual spring system and definitely has a noticeably bigger hole/seat in the front pf the slide. Eyeballing it, it won't seat in a gen3Far as I know, the gen 3 spring can be used on a gen 4 gun but not vice versa due to the size of the hole for the spring
You can use a gen3 assembly on a gen4 only if you have an adapter plate.
