Does any know when there gonna be legal in CA?

I haven't read anything about GLOCK having resubmitted or being reconsidered, or any CA legal change that will allow Gen4 to be available for sale to the general public. We can keep hoping, voting for change, and paying in to one or more of the great 2A legal funds to hopefully get some sanity back in the state.
I dont think glock is going to ever resubmit for them to be legal, but I do know someone in San Jose who just picked up his g19 g4 legally there. I think it cost him a bit more but he said they put another barrel in it to make it sse exempt. He did the thumb print, waited his 10 days and picked it up then changed the barrel back. He says it completely legal after the fact, just most shops dont want to deal with the extra hassle and wont do it. I have no idea to how much truth there is in it thats just what I was told.
Forgive my ignorance on this subject, but what's Cali's problem with the Gen 4's?

The voters who elect idiots to govern them.

The technical problem is not adhering to the new Safe Handgun Roster requirement in PC 12126(d):

(d) As used in this section, a "magazine disconnect mechanism" means a mechanism that prevents a semiautomatic pistol that has a detachable magazine from operating to strike the primer of ammunition in the firing chamber when a detachable magazine is not inserted in the semiautomatic pistol.
buzznrose already covered the bigger problem. :D
I really want a gen4 21 , i heard there is a shop out in sacramento that does the single shot conversion and than when you leave you can change it back to factory when you get home .

You won't be sorry, I have a Gen4 G21 and it is my favorite gun!

You just need to find a FFL that will do a SSE 'Single Shot Exemption'. I picked up my Gen4 G22 a few months ago. If you are in the Nor Cal area PM me and I can recommend one.

Now you're in my neck of the woods. It could be Sacramento Black Rifle as I know they do it and there's probably quite a few others as well. They up charge you quite a few bucks, but if it's the Gen you want and you don't qualify any other way (active/retired LE/military, or grandfather, father, son, grandson that is) it's how you have to do it. You actually do the swap in the stores.
Just curious.

What would happen if you bought my Gen 4 and I shipped it to your local FFL? I don't have a FFL.

Would the FFL on your end stop the sale?

From what I understand, it needs to be in Single shot exemption configuration and the registration paperwork shows SSE. Not all FFLs feel comfortable doing this. There are a few companies that ship SSE Gen4 to CA.

Yeah the ffl would stop the sale unless it met the barrel and sse exemptions. But you could buy one from a face to face sale if you could find one also
