Gen 3 recoil reduction??

Any quick upgrades out there to reduce recoil on Gen 3 glocks? The recoil isn't much of a problem with my glock 23, but i wasn't expecting that much kick compared to the 19s I have fired, and Ide like my wife to be comfortable practicing on it (bc I eventually want her to get one =])

Aftermarket recoil spring...
Or just have her shoot it and help her get over the limp wrist I'm sure she will have. Once she shoots it and gets comfy with it she could shoot basically anything... Or you could stop being a penny pincher and just buy her a g19

Do you go lighter or heavier, and what are the advantages?
You would go with a heavier spring to help reduce the amount of felt recoil and to aid in getting your sights back on target faster. Main reason the gen 4 has a dual recoil spring...
The guide rod and spring or just spring? How much are we talkin ballpark? And there is a difference between penny pincher and not want to drop 400 more bucks lol

The springs are cheap but if your gonna replace it you might as well get a tungsten guide rod. They aren't too expensive. Check out glockstore.com

And if you find a G19 for 400 buy it and I'll pick it up from you!
Well I can go order you a glock 19 for 425 right now, but you can too so why waste my time?

Because I'm a good friend and well worth it!
Another option is a 40 to 9mm conversion barrel for your g23.

I was thinking about doing that anyways, just to have extra options, just not sure I'm ready to spend that kind of money!

Which is why I would help you out with something that mattered, but how would this be helping you, you have the same discount I do lol
But it's cheaper than a new pistol and ammo for plinking.

Or.....excuse to buy another gun all together. :) That's always a good thing, right? ;)

Ya it is cheaper than buying a new gun, but I carry my 23 every day and would eventually like my wife to carry every day.
