Hello , I have heard that you can use a G30 Mag release in a G22 and it will serve as a extended mag release as the frame of the G30 is wider than the G22 .. The good part of this is that this "upgrade" gives you an extended mag release but it's not extended as much as the regular "Glock Extended Mag Release" so it won't be catching/snagging like the extended one might do...

I'm asking this for a friend who wants to extend his . I did this with my G23 years ago ... ?? I think this is the magic formula using the G30 type release but don't remember for sure so I'm hoping someone can verify it before I spend the (3 bucks) to buy one for my friend ..
Thank You for any help you can give me,Don

You are correct. The Glock OEM "extended" release is nothing more than the mag release from the large frame guns. It will indeed work.
