Ejector Problems?? Pics

I was at the shooting range yesterday and I was able to replicate this malfunction with my Glock 23 Gen 4.

How I did it was by removing the magazine on the VERY last shot. The previous 12 shots ejected properly (with mag in). Now say I shot the very last shot with a mag in it WILL eject properly. This is my first Glock and my first hand gun. Is this malfunction something I need to be concerned about? Is the ejector acting up?

Thanks.

That can happen with any semi-auto pistol. After a shot is fired, as the slide is traveling rearward with the extractor pulling the spent casing out of the chamber, the top round in the magazine or the nose of the follower and feed lips of the empty magazine provides support to the spent casing to keep it from sliding too far down the breech face. If there's no magazine in place, the gun may fail to eject or even eject a spent casing down the magazine well.
