Please since I have done the deal already be gentle good people.

First off this is the gun I traded away today. It was a Gen 3 Glock 27. It had Crimson Trace laser grips and two magazines both with Peirce picky extensions.

The gun I traded for is a used Gen 3 Glock 22. It has a custom stipling job, trijicon night sights, steel guide rod, and came with 3 - 15 round magazines. I also kept my old backup magazine which was also a G22 mag, so now I have 4 mags for it. (I will post pictures asap.)

The dealer wanted my 27 and $60, but I explained I liked the stipling but many people may not. They dropped it to $25. I went on to explain how many people want CCW guns, LEOs want 27s as a backup and personal carry gun; so my 27 would sell super fast for them. I got the trade with no additional money.

I took it shooting this afternoon and put 160 rounds through it. There is very little recoil and it performed like a Glock should by shooting everytime. I will soon buy a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel and some Glock 17 magazines. Also going to get a tactical rail light soon. Also I will install a ghost 3.5 pound trigger and an extended slide release. Nothing like getting a new gun for free to make you want to spend a ton of money.

I personally would not want a stippled gun unless I got a killer deal on it. I am an OEM kind a guy. But you obviously wanted to make the change so just go with it. If you are happy with it, don't look back. We rarely win when doing trades at gun shops but sounds like you came out okay if that's what you wanted.

Most people have to trade with money...almost always! You did good trading straight up! Eye_Peeled is right about most people not wanting stippled grips, but if you like it, then I see no problem with it! Do you have any pics to share??? :D

This is my Zombie Apocalypse Box. It contains 1 Glock 22, 4 magazines, and 61 rounds of Hornady Zombie Max. About time to shoot up all my old carry ammo. Switching to Critical Duty. Much heavier and faster bullet. I don't think the zombies will mind. Actually their mind is where the bullet is heading.

It looks way better than I had visualized :)
When I read "stippled grip" I cringed, so few actually do a good looking job. This one looks very nice. If you are happy with the trade......well that is all that really matters anyway. Do a happy dance and have fun at the range.

For those who read my posts you know I have lost weight. Now that I am lighter I am doing more action shooting. I guess my run and gun (actually jog and huff and puff and gun) can count as my "happy dance." I really enjoyed shooting the 22 yesterday and having to reload far less than my old 27.

Cleaned the new Glock today. When I took the slide off, part of my rail broke off. Going back to the shop tomorrow on my lunch. Hope they either do something or let me get atactical different gun. Hope they fix it, because I really like it.

That's not the rail. That is the Locking Block.

It's about a $20 part.

Check to make sure the pin that holds it to the polymer frame didn't break.

I'd also have the recoil spring assembly replaced, as that most likely aided to the breakage

If you decide to do a 40-9 conversion, replace the trigger housing for 9mm (with curve ejector) to prevent FTE.

Btw, you made a good deal :):):)

This Glock has a stainless steel guide rod assembly do you think that has something to do with it? Also even though the gun was used and as is, the store is splitting the cost of the part and installing it for free. Tax and all it is $10.85 and should be ready Friday morning.

For those in the know, should I get a lighter recoil spring assembly for when I use the Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel?

As a certified Glock Armorer, I should stand by factory parts only - and remind you that using non factory parts, voids your warranty. The non-factory stainless steel guide rod / recoil assembly's spring may not have provided sufficient tension.

Does anyone have any knowledge about stainless steel guide rod assembly? Do they cause any problems?

After sending two separate parts for my Glock 22 which did not work, Glock advised this 22 was an early release Gen 3 and would need to be sent to them. My dealer apologized for it and said they would take care of all repairs. They the to offered to make me a deal. A person won a generation 4 Glock 22 last week and trades it to them for a different pistol. They can not sell it as new since it has actually had an owner. I opened it and it still has the Glock grease on the slide. No rounds have been shot through it at all. I am happy I have a new Gen 4 G22 but I will miss the polished internals, stainless steel guide rod assembly, night sights, and even the stipling job. Ih well time to trick out the new one.
