Imagine respecting the flag, loving your country, respecting the law, respecting our military members, and helping your community with both your time and money, and then getting vilified for it. Something has got to give. Time to learn from the past, move on, and make your own way in the world. There are no barriers to anyone that really wants to succeed that cannot be overcome with hard work, knowledge, tenacity and dedication.

Now now, anything that happened in 'po city STAYS in 'po city!! lol I spent many many many fine days and nights there thanks to Uncle Sam's Canoe Club. 22 years and several ships plus afloat units ensured I got more than a mortal man needed of P.I.
Thank you for your service sir!
It sure looks that way. On a side note, if I hear Drew Brees apologize 1 more time I may puke.
...and now his WIFE is apologizing for him. Very disappointing; either stand behind what you say or say NOTHING at all. With the media the way it is today, NO COMMENT is the only safe answer.

I’m beyond done with sports! Right now baseball is questionable. Depends on where it goes. Sports used to be an escape. Goodell should be fired but even the owners are sellouts.

You see this?

They guilt this kid who got a bunch of patriotic tattoos. They tell him it’s a white supremacy tattoo! BS, just because some group coopts a symbol you identify with, stand up to the bullying and convey what it means to you.
Just like Brees, stand up for what you believe in and don’t be bullied.

In response to the original question...I'll wear what I want, when I want, and where I want.
Funny story, I was wearing my Winnie the Pew shirt one day, eye exam before work, 2 girls proclaim "oh, I love that shirt." Get to work, Amreen, young Indian girl, says the same thing. Screw sports...unless it's got a motor..play the game, don't watch the game.
A couple tasteful decals on my car, uscca and a skull w/liberty or death. Truck has glock, ruger, club, prs stickers, nra, uscca, goa....never an issue that I've noticed.
Going through life being afraid sounds like crap. Going through life being somewhat nuts has been pretty entertaining.
Why would wearing a glock hat get you shot? I'd think it'd get you a conversation going one way or the other. Funny how it got a few folks at work going from anti gun to permitted status, and loving the activity.

My son just told me that the “OK” sign that I have used occasionally since I was a kid now has some kind of negative connotation (can’t remember exactly what he said it was). He wasn’t correcting me per se; he just said you don’t want to make a sign like that in a crowd. It’s getting almost laughable. I said to hell with them; it just means OK to me; not much different to a thumbs up sign the way I use it.

I think a lot depends on ones personality. I've met folks , we've got everything in common, but they're kind of grouchy, suspicious, mumbling types. I'm pretty much "in your face", eye contact, kind of loud, but upbeat, smiling, can and will talk about anything, and have made it through life with few problems so far, living in Miami during the Cuban influx late '70's, and hanging with the loons in Frisco's Tenderloin district. Probably why I'm so upbeat these days. Personality goes a long way, and lack of fear/suspicion helps as well. Had a dog sicced on me once, dang shepherd comes charging, definite os moment...and I bent my knees, clapped them with my hands and called "c'mere, boy, good dog." Confused that dog, and ticked that guy off.
2 co-workers used to give me grief about my pro gun shirts and attitude, one, Luis, used to be "oh, big man with a gun blahblahblah" and I responded in kind to his Harley shirt..."Oh, it's not like that" he says, and I responded "precisely." He got his permit. The other guy, "why do you need a gun like that/so many guns blahblahblah." I asked why does he need his BMW. " I don't need it, but I just like it."....Precisely. He just took the pistol permit class, came to work beaming, said he got shut off as he'd gone through 250 rounds having a good time.
I try to avoid the defense aspects of shooting, and preach the joy of shooting. I think if more did the same, we'd get some allies.

The NFL And NBA really are letting the inmates run the asylum now. They should have nipped this kneeling thing in the bud. I hope baseball doesn’t go down the same road.

Motorsports, the motor is king, and it takes a real team to be good, so there's few if any egos.
Dolphins still got Griese at QB? How's Tarkenton doing?;) Namath looks and sounds like a ***** on those medicaid commercials...gawd Joe, have some dignity.
I see Reggie Jackson got a raise since I last saw him play. :p

It’s a good thing the President is chosen by the Electoral College instead of the popular vote or this country would be doomed.

Yeah, I don't count nascar...too big for their britches...boogetyboogetyboogety...those races should be one lap, not 3-600 miles, as they always have a mass pileup with a lap to go, line up all over again and do a one lap shootout. With my ADD, 6 seconds is my limit of paying attention ;)

NASCAR just got too generic and predictable. The 90’s & early 00’s were last really good years. The 2000 Talladega race was the last one I saw in person.

The bodies are just skins that don’t even have the lines of the production models. I tried to get into NASCAR back in the 90’s but it never did anything for me.
I loved going to Englishtown Raceway for the Drag races, Swap Meets & other events. The drag track by me just shut down so I rarely see those races.

Local sports car track racelrp.com ran Busch North cars a few years, as well as the alms (american lemans series). The slowest of the 4 lemans classes ran faster than the Nascar guys, and the lmp cars were 15 seconds a lap quicker...on a 1.5 mile track.
I love airshows as well.

I’ve only been to one boat race ever and it was a drag boat race in Lake Liberty, Texas. It just happened to be the race where the old Houston Oilers quarterback, Dan Pastorini, crashed and killed 4 people. That was an awful sight. His motor just blew up at 170 mph, and since it was a jet he couldn’t steer it after that. He and the boat flew right up the bank and into the crowd. Besides the 4 killed, there was a bunch of people injured as well. Pastorini went on to race drag cars after that.
