Conceal on the hip.

I have a glock 26 and am having a hard time finding a way to conceal and it still be accessible. Currently using a pancake holster. Tried in-the-pants and found it far too uncomfortable. I have a small frame and the gun looks bulky and awkward on my side, no matter the clothing. Any suggestions?

What kind of holster do you have? A quality holster and belt make all the difference in the world.
Vertical stripes on a button down shirt. Dark colored shirts. Wear at 8 or 4 o'clock. The Don Hume JIT holster is an awesome choice. Keeps the gun high and tight to the body. A kydex infused stiff belt is the only way to go.
Currently using an uncle mikes pancake holster. Its low-end for sure. Will look into a high-quality holster as suggested. Thanks for the help folks.
Just got my White Hat Max tuck in the mail today and that thing is amazing to say the least. I have been carrying it at about 3:30 and it is very comfortable and can't even tell I have my G23 on me. I tried it at about the 3:00 position and when I sat down it was either the leather or the belt clip was digging into my leg which made it uncomfortable. Try new spots and a better holster. I know Foxx holsters which is a vendor on here has IWB holsters similar to the White Hat and Crossbreed IWB at a far better price I think $39 check their thread out under the vendor section.
If IWB is uncomfortable, you're using the wrong holster.

I carry a 27 off duty, at most times... I run a SOB holster at a 3:30 -4:00 position... I'm small framed too (6'5" 180 lbs)... I run several holsters and all just behind my hip... Easily covered...
As everyone else said. Behind the hip is best place to conceal. That's where I carry. I conceal a Glock 17.

And maybe the wrong pants. Did you go up a size?
No, didn't go up a size. Perhaps that is my problem.

I noticed the JIT holster doesn't have a retention strap. Would you consider it safe to cary with one in the chamber?

If you're using the uncle mikes paddle holster, it is not designed for IWB. That's your problem....is this the holster?

These are the two holsters I have. The "pancake" holster imprints badly. The ITW holster I find uncomfortable and still imprints. Probably need to go up a pant size to make it work.

My fault you said pancake and I thought paddle. Something designed like this will prevent the weapon from digging into you. There is a vendor here called Foxx Holsters who makes a very similar design for $39 shipped I believe. I would not hesitate to place an order and feel the difference it will make.

Thanks so much everyone for all the great advice! I love this forum!
Can anyone suggest a kydex-infused belt that is reasonably priced yet good quality?
Kydex. I'm not sure how "reasonable" it is but they have a great selection to choose from here. I conceal my Glock 17 at work that I'm not supposed to have... ;) Lol. Let's just say that holster rocks! Its great quality and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Both pictures I'm armed promise!
I typically carry in the back around the 8 o' clock position. (lefty) but I wanted to show how well this holster conceals.

Nice! And that is with shirt tucked too. That's what I'm going for. There shouldn't be a question of "what is under his shirt".
Mike P's "nukin style" holster does exactly this.
