I have a compact EDC sling bag, similar to the Maxpedition Remora (see Remora picture below), that I use while hunting, fishing, anything outdoors.
The MOLLE system is great, but for urban carry I am looking for one without the MOLLE system, something less tactical looking.
    Any suggestions?

I’m with you. How droll it is when you are stepping out on the town looking all swanky but sporting a tactical Ted bag. Nothing says I’m a hep dude like leather.

Amazon has a dazzling array of sizes, types and colors of leather sling bags from bargain basement prices starting around $12 and up!

No suggestions, but for anyone else thinking about this, definite +1 on the "no molle" for a low-profile bag. I have a Maxpedition Fliegerduffel which is basically just a small soft suitcase. It's a great bag and I never gave much thought to the molle on it (and never used any of the molle on it), but one time when asking my wife if she knew where it was, her response was, "You mean the one with all the gun stuff on it?"

She had to explain to me what she meant, but even though she's not a gun person, has never used molle, and has possibly never seen me using molle, she automatically associated molle webbing with "gun stuff". The fliegerduffel is a great & convenient-size bag, but I rarely use it anymore after that.

A gun person knows you have a gun in there. A non-gun person assumes you have a gun in there.
I don’t know if it is because of the movies or the way it looks, but that is the case.

I carry in a IWB holster, sometimes in a pocket holster. The bag would be to carry other items in it (spare magazines, knife, tools, etc.) and in occasions the gun as well.
Nowadays, there are a lot of things I would like to have with me at all times.
    A small version of a bug-out bag.

Lately I’ve added quick clot, xl maxi pads, a better basic first aid kit, & extra mags to my edc bag. After typing this I’m going to be adding a tourniquet also.
