My email to my Colorado Representatives:

Resident in Senate District 19 and House District 27...

I am formally submitting my concerns over the below referenced legislation:

HB 13-1224 - Outlawing 11+ round mags: http://tinyurl.com/b8hl3r4

HB 13-1043: - Statuatory Definition of a Deadly Weapon: http://tinyurl.com/af5r2u2

HB 13-1226 - Eliminating Concealed Carry on Public Higher Ed campuses: http://tinyurl.com/agendb4

As I am sure you are both aware, these are very hot button topics right now. Given the current climate of debate and emotions on the topic, it is often the wisest course to delay legislation that is premature. These statutes are attempts to restrict or redefine our rights as both U.S. and Colorado citizens. I am opposed to all of the above legislation. Suffice to say, you are elected to represent your constituencies. If you vote for this legislation, I will make sure you will not get my vote in the next election cycle.
I will also endeavor to make as many others aware of your voting record, and encourage others to voice their concerns so that you have a chance to act responsibly and in accordance with the principles that all elected officials adhere to in that you represent US, the citizens, not yourselves. It is not incumbant for you to vote on your own beliefs, rather you must be responsible and vote the way your constituents request that you do.

Civics lessons aside, it is your duty to listen to your constituents, so listen now - do not vote for these legislative efforts. They infringe on our rights and we do not want our rights infringed!
