Just picked up my new gen 5 19M from my LGS. I didn’t notice it at the shop but when I got it home I noticed there’s a few spots where the checkering has chipped off. I know it’s just a tool but has anyone else noticed this on their gen 5s?
That looks pretty small & unnoticeable, but Glock will make it right if it bothers you enough. I had a little ding on the receiver underneath the muzzle area when I got my new G22 and I just let it go. I see your point though; NEW should mean new.
Yep, I’ll probably just let it go myself. If it was just a regular 19 I wouldn’t care at all but with it being a 19M it was more for the collection to go along with my unfired 19c and 17m rather than daily carry where it wouldn’t matter.
Time to send it out for a custom stipple job lol, it is aggravating when you pay good money for something and you get something that isnt perfect. Id also contact glock if it bothers you enough but who knows how long it would take to get it back.
Think of it like a mis-stamped coin: Yours is now worth more for the unique factory defect!
