Hello -

I am new to this forum, new to handguns, and new to Glocks. I have now in my possession the Glock 43x, the Glock 19x, and the Glock 44. Today I went to clean my 19x as recommended in the manual. However, I had some concern with the wire brush which came with the handgun. It seemed too large to fit into the bore without damage, so I used another tool instead. Is my concern warranted?

Thanks in advance to all who respond.

Welcome to the forum.

The brush should be much larger than the bore in order to scrub it clean. No worries at all. Like Southlake said above, The brush works great.

Welcome aboard. I don’t run the factory rod and brush. Have had a large assortment of gun cleaning stuff for years.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use the factory one if that’s all I had on hand though.

Hello and welcome to the forum! That is a great collection of Glocks you have. Those three guns in my opinion add up to a home run! The brush that came with my 19X was the usual nylon bristle brush and I wouldn’t hesitate to use it.

Welcome to the Glock Forum.

The brush works great.
Glock uses the one size fits all when it comes to their bore brush, it will work in all your Glocks other than the G 44,with no harm.

My G19x came with a Nylon brush which I haven't used. I have a very complete set of cleaning supplies and use a different 9mm brush. It should be tight. The friction is what helps to clean. There is no reason you couldn't/shouldn't use what Glock supplied.

That brush is for the barrel? I’ve been using them as toothbrushes since 2012!
