i need opinions on the best self defense ammo. these rounds will be for use inside my home. i have a m21. 45 cal. also some suggestions for my cc ammo. pics are appreciated.

Well a lot of police use Speer gold dot in anything from 9mm to .45 so I'd trust that's. I do not have any pictures though sorry

I second this comment. Also, if G-d forbid you need to take someone down in a HD/SD situation, then you have a defense on the ammo you used, I.e., it is the same as that used by many PDs.

I prefer Winchester PDX1 in my G30. I like knowing the bumblebees coming out the barrel expand to the size of a nickel.

I like the ballistics of hornady FTX....before they changed it to Z-max as a marketing ploy....im gonna have to look in to the critical duty stuff

I like Hornady Critical Defense, but any modern self defense round would be a good choice. The important thing is to make sure it functions in you gun 100% of the time.
