    Yes this was a good read. I personally would never be caught with any less that a 44 magnum if I knew I was going to be in bear country.

    Fortunately, down here is S.Florida, we don't have a lot of bears.

    The gators eat them. :)

    BTW, pistol can’t be counted on to knock a 100# man down wearing T Shirt so how exactly does one expect it to knock down a 400# sow protecting cubs with hide thick enough to smother that man? Human women can be a bear to handle now imagine a pissed off female wanting play to volleyball with one’s skull. Not me. ;)

    460 Rowland! Why it over 44mag or bigger? It's still a beast and mag capacity! I'd rather have 15 rounds to throw at a big bear than 5 0r 6.
