Hi Fabulous Forum! I am considering a Glock 30S .45 caliber. I believe they only come in Gen3 versions. Actually, that may be my first question: Do 30S's come in anything other than Gen3? I have not yet found anything else. Next, are the magazines compatible between both the 30 and 30S? Or, do I need to buy extra magazines specific to a 30S only?

The Glock 30S is only in generation 3. It is the 30 (Slim Slide) on the SF ( short frame) gen.3 frame. All 10 round Glock 30 mags should work with both.

The mags are the same, I use both, and they work just fine.

1st gen Glock 30 mags that are not Ambi have a smaller spring. They might not cycle well with the increased slide velocity of the 30S.
