Got my bear creek arsenal 10.5” upper in today. Looks to be pretty good.

I already took the handguard off and inspected the roll pin in the gas tube, looks good, gas block set screws are tight and the block looks to be aligned pretty well with the receiver.

Took the bcg out to inspect the stakes, already disassembled and cleaned the bcg. What do you guys make of this stake job?

Different staking style than I’m used to seeing but I’m sure it’s probably good to go.

I purchase items from next door New Hampshire and it's usually 4 to 6 days, guess our New England USPS is either slow or just screwed up.

Magnetic Particle Testing has its limitations, but it is a cost effective, time saving and non-destructive test that can spot otherwise hidden flaws within steel-alloy firearms parts. And that’s the MPI edition of ‘The More You Know’.

You can etch a line near where it’s staked. If the line moves, then you know it’s not staked good enough.
