Anyone have this problem...

I was at the range today shooting about 250 back to back rounds through my Glock 17. With a few rounds left the locking block pin, the one on top, decided to come half way out. Is that just because it was not seeded properly and just popped out or something more serious. I was able to pop it back in and it worked fine. I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced that issue. Thanks.

More than likely not seated in correctly. The top pin doesn't have quite the positive feel as the bottom pin when it clicks in. I can see how it can me easily missed.
Maybe an indication the pin has been removed incorrectly over the life of the frame. Check the locking block for cracks too. Might want to check the trigger pin for breakage too.

Its a Gen4 17. He just recently got it back from Glock this past week for warranty work so I doubt that any of what you mentioned is the cause.;)
Always worth looking at though. But I am guessing it was just not in there correctly. I had pulled all the pins out a week earlier for a cleaning of the trigger.
