I got a 5.56/223 Magpul magazine as a present, my AR15 use both rounds. But this magazine fits really tight on my carbine, I sent it back and got another one and still have the same problem. Any idea what could be the problem? Do this mag suppose to fit like that? :/

What did the Magpul rep say when you sent the first one back and complained it was too tight...?

They asked about the type of AR and what caliber it use. They sent me the right one the first time, but they thought the mag has some type of defect, so they send me another one but I have the same issue. I asked at the range a guy that has the same rifle and Magpul mag, and his works fine. He told me to lose a little be the mag release bottom, I did so but no luck. The problem seems to be in the thickness of the mag that dosnt slide easy to get in and I have to pull it out.

I'm just wondering if thats how they all are...you would think if that was the case,

customer service would know they are all a tight fit...and wave you off...guess not.

Hopefully, someone here is a Magpul Mag user and can tell you what's up...good luck

and let us know how you make out...

BTW...what brand is your AR ?!

AH HA !! Polymer mags are prone to tight fits till they wear down a little...

get scuffed up so to speak. Even the ones for AK's...so, it just might be the nature of the beast.

You know now that you mention that it's make sense. Plastic rail against metal rail would not work the same as metal against metal...

This is so wrong and so funny at the same time. Maybe I am the only immature one here.

Most guys I know that have them say they will loosen up over time. Good luck and keep playing with it till it works! ;)
