I made this steel target and tested it for safety before I let anyone shoot it. I made it out of 1/4in steel from a 58"x19" plate of steel. here's the video.

Could you take some pics, and post, of how it's put together. That's a nice setup. I would be interested in making one for my self.

PS Nice shooting.

Thanks and I will definitely get those pics. it's at my in-laws so I will take pics ASAP. I'm going to make another setup similar to GSSF's GLOCK the plates.

Cool. I like the way you did yours. I've played with several designs for outback and made a video for how I built the last one. I spent $10 for the round plates at a local weld shop and was able to fabricate the rest from scrap.

My first version was really simple and cost $0 as it was made with all scrap metal around the barn.

I'm working on making steel silhouette targets next and making the original one with 6 plates and 1 ft centers similar to GSSF Glock the plates

2 things...

Maybe you should suspend each with 2 eye bolts, so that they don't flop around and redirect in a random manner.

And YOU PICKED UP A MISFIRE AND PUT IT IN YOUR POCKET?? A dent in the primer means it *could* still go off, just not right away. One of those deals where the gun goes "click", you look down the barrel to check it out, and the thing finally fires and puts a hole thru your hat brim.... Now imagine that tiny "grenade" in your pocket.... Maybe I'm just Old School and that stuff don't happen anymore...

I appreciate the heads up on the dented primer. I honestly didn't know that. but that's no excuse. plus I would never point my gun at anything other than the target at any time.
