For the extra money for the Range Officer over the GI, well worth it. You will spend more getting the GI up to the RO level.

We have an STI LS. Single stack 9mm. It's small, thin, has a lot of sharp edges and that stupid safety right where i put my left hand. It gets pushed up from my grip and locks the gun. Could not depend on it in a life saving situation. It stays in the box. The wife likes it but she hasn't shot it yet. Great collector piece though, you know, looks nice on display but that's about it. My Glocks are always on duty.
