Yes, I ordered standard mahogany 1911grips and they fit perfect.

Kodiak, you will love it! I see it is a NM serial number so you got a good one!

Basically all frames start as IMBEL forgings done in Brazil. The "N" models are assembled in Brazil. The NM models are CNC cut here in the states and the slide, frame, barrel, and bushing are fitted to match. Barrels are made to national match standards. If it has "custom" on the slide with the "NM" serial prefix the complete gun is national match standards.

Yes, all original, it has been fired but not much. No wear marks on the grip safety or slide stop. It is pristine.

Very nice EPAT. Colt could not give me an exact date because it has the SM serial number. They said 72 or 73.

The SM refers to the Government Ace Model. Some of the frames were used for the 70 series. Records were not kept very well. At least that is what Colt said.
