Have owned a Norinco,a Colt, and a few Kimbers over the years. I've given them all up. 1911s are cool and all, but my Glocks do everything I ask them to do, when I ask them too, never talk back, never fail to do what I tell them to do, and they are cheap.

I've got a matched pair of 1911's built on 80% frames I milled out about 10 years ago. They have "GI" slides, but all the internals are Ed Brown "Hardcore" and one has a Wilson 2-piece guide rod while the other has a soild Chip McCormick. both use 18-18.5# springs.
I milled the frames "tight" then hand-lapped the slides-to-frame fit so the fit is without play yet super-smooth. Both are serial numbered and stamped with the name of my R&D company. Both have demonstrated near 100% reliability in .45ACP with "hardball" ammo.
