This is my first glock can anyone please tell me the date of manufacture of my G23, serial# dyd942 ? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I believe it's a gen3 because it has the finger notched grip.

I recently bought a new slide for my glock 23 off gun broker. com Obviously the serial numbers don't match. Is this going to be a problem for me to carry the gun with mismatched serial numbers?
