That's good thinking right there.nukinfuts29 said:I carry whatever the law enforcement agency in that area carries. This way god forbid I ever have to use my gun, no lawyer in a court room can ever claim I was using some kind of specialty, military, or any other type of ammo they can twist into being designed to do more damage then the situation warrants.
I'm all for the many arguments against this, but you have to think about what looks bad to a jury. If they say why did you carry this specific type of ammo I can say that is what the area law enforcement carries, and I feel they would know what is best for the community and public as a whole.
Did you ever find any information on the fragmenting bullets?Anybody ever use 2-part fragmenting bullets? I've been curious since I first heard of them.
Do you have any concerns with feeding? Have you tested your set-up?G30 .45
Win PDX1 Bonded & Pow'R Ball 'every other' stack in the same mag.
I like the balance of big heavy slow JHP with a cavity like a big mouth bass along with a light, high speed hollow point with that Pow'R ball to pierce solid objects (sheet metal and glass) 'like' an FMJ and avoids the risk of heavy fabric stuffing the hollow point and preventing expansion.
In a 'every other' stack (with 2nd backup mag) and double-tap center-mass firing, I suppose I get the best of both worlds for any situation.
I carry the same in my g30 expect its the 230g
Yes please! I would like to use the Critical Defense, but prefer a 230 grain bullet.Didn't know Hornady made a 230 grain CD...and it's not listed on their website.
Could you please provide me the SKU off the box...thanks !
Is the Federal Guard Dog ammo worth the money? Has anyone tried it?That and I'm personally interested in EFMJ, again if Federal improves theirs or someone else makes something better, from a barrier penetration standpoint.
I almost bought some UMC 230 gr JHP. Would like to hear what the "knowledgeable" say about it.I see Federal, Hornaday, Corbon, and Winchester a lot but what do you guys think of the Remington UMC 230gr JHP .45acp? Would it be worthy enough for you LEO's to trust your life to?
Thanks in advance!
That is an interesting looking bullet, who makes it? Thanks for the picture.Haven't spent too much time looking into it, but this is what they are:
They are supposed to break apart on impact, leaving two separate wound channels.
