We are going to be traveling the country. May possibly get up into Alaska but definitely northern Idaho and Montana. Looking for a good woods gun for large beastie protection. I think I have narrowed it down to the Glock 20 in 10mm because of capacity mainly but many reviews comment negatively on the hard cast bullets because of the polygonal barrel having feed issues. Im told the G5 has a rifled barrel and may solve the issue. Any opinions or personal experience?
I carry, even when I'm at home. It's loaded with 15+1 Underwood 200gr XTPs.
Have any of you got a KKM 7" barrel yet? That is going to turn that thing into a BEAST! I'm super curious what kind of velocities it will produce. Like, could it be expected to see 1350 fps from an Underwood 200 grain?
Gen5 with a few mods.
There are no gel tests to be found on a G29. So I got to thinking, if you check tests for a G22 for the same bullet you can get an idea. The 29 will push it a little faster, so you can expect penetration to be slightly less and expansion to be better. Anyway, just an idea. I know it's far from exact science, but it will get you into the ball park.
