these are markings on barrel of new gen 3 stock Glock 19 any body have a clue what they mean
Looks like braille...
Why would there be braille on a barrel tho? Not like someone blind is going to shoot or carry let alone build a gun lol.
Geez...didn't ya see the winky ?!
I was going to say its assembly instructions in braille, but you beat me to it lol.
ok thats what i was thinking too my old glock dont have it
Its a "dot matrix" it is on there for quality control I think. My gen 3 17 has them also. Kinda like a serial number I believe.
Geez...didnt ya see the LOL. ya i did jst being a smart@ss.
The first pic at the top has numbers written in the same "dot matrix" script...
Seriously, I would really like to know myself...
Let me do some research and get back to you RogerH !!
I've never seen that on any of my guns and I've got Glocks built as recently as 2009, so it's something pretty new. Or it's a 9mm thing.
My 19 has it
What Gen ?
Gen 3 sorry
My 19 has similar markings. Mine made in Austria about a year old. My friends, made in USA, and recently purchased, has similar markings. His is on the left, mine on the right.
Do you suppose this is some kind of Glock lot identification from the process of making the barrel with polygonal rifleing?
It's an ID tag... like a QR code.
Yep. Laser Dot Peen/Scribe Marking.
