I bought a Perce plug just the other day at my local gun shop for my G36.

believe it or not, that is what its for. If it was for allowing debris to fall out, then why the half circle cut in the mag well? Its for your thumb. Ask member MattA he works there, he could end the debate.

Like this, that's why the bottom of the mag is flared out in the back as well

Gen4 owners....

For the record, I was not aware until yesterday while at GT Distributors that there is a plug on the market that will allow the use of the back straps if you choose to do so.

Made by Jentra......

Just not sure how fond I am of having a set screw partially sticking out. I run strapless anyway, just thought I would pass along in case others weren't aware.

I don't run those fugly straps so I wasn't concerned . I was just looking around while waiting on paper work at GT and noticed them. There was a recent question here asking about straps/plugs.......sooooo suck it.

I like the Pearce (Plus Zero) and grip plug on my 36. I bought a mag with (Plus One) today an learned that it's not compatible when a grip plug is in place. The (Plus One) extension has its own plug integrated. Luckily the local gun shop guy was cool and let me exchange it for a normal magazine.
